SR Energy will build new wind farm in Ljungby Municipality

SR Energy plans to begin construction of Staverhult Wind Farm in Ljungby Municipality in February 2027. The wind farm will be the company's first facility in the municipality and will consist of four wind turbines with a combined capacity of 29 MW. The facility is expected to generate more than 100 GWh of renewable electricity annually, which according to SR Energy corresponds to the household electricity needs of approximately 20,000 households. The project will use four Vestas V182-7.2 MW turbines with an estimated lifespan of at least 35 years. Veidekke will be responsible for construction of the wind farm, while E.ON will connect the facility to the local electricity grid. Operations are scheduled to begin in mid-2028. Staverhult Wind Farm is located in Kronoberg County and electricity price area SE4. Once operational, SR Energy expects its total normal annual production to reach 2.8 TWh.
