Construction starts on 505 rental homes in Bromma

ALM Equity has announced the start of construction of 505 rental apartments, a preschool and a garage within the Archimedes urban development project in Mariehäll, Bromma. The construction start concerns the Navis sub-project, previously known as Archimedes F, and is described by the company as one of Sweden's largest residential construction starts of the year. Together with 357 apartments that entered construction in May, a total of 862 homes have entered production at Archimedes during 2026. The project combines conversion and new construction. An existing office building will be converted into residential units, while three additional floors will be added to the existing structure. The building is planned to achieve BREEAM SE Excellent certification. Archimedes is owned by Stadsnära Bostäder, in which ALM Equity holds a 40 percent stake and is responsible for project development. The design-and-build contract is being carried out by ALM Equity's subsidiary 2xA Entreprenad AB. The development is located on a property with an industrial heritage in Mariehäll and combines new construction with the reuse and redevelopment of existing buildings.
